The Whole World was Watching oral history project, records 1998.

The records include twenty-two audio cassette recordings of interviews and one videotape of one of the interviewees, transcripts of the interviews, signed release forms, information forms completed by the interviewees, photos of the interviewees and unedited versions of the students' essays. Lacking are nine audio interview cassettes, which can be heard in real-time audio on the project web site, and two release forms. A copy of the book, 1968: the whole world was watching: an oral history, is included in Series III. Final edited versions of the students' essays copied from the online version of the project and research copies of the transcripts, releases, and information forms made by the University of Rhode Island Special Collections staff were added to the collection.
